Today I just wanted to share with you my gratitude… Because he lives.
If you haven’t already guessed what this blog post is going to be about… It’s going to be a little different than my usual weekly post.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays for lots of reasons, the biggest one being the symbolism behind it. I feel that we often overlook that portion of the holiday and get caught up in the Easter bunny and all the things that come with that. So I’m not doing a DIY or fun recipe post… I’m sharing a little of my love for the savior.
Because he lives, I get to spend eternity with my husband:
My best friend in the whole world.
We made it! One whole year ago we promised our lives to one another, eternally. I am so grateful… I thought I loved you then but, our love means SO much more now. Thank you for being the man of my dreams and creating the best life for us. Thank you for your patience with me. You raise me up higher than I ever thought possible and I am SO EXCITED to spend every year.. forever.. with you ❤️ . How blessed we are to have this gospel, that creates eternal families and blesses us with eyes opened to forever. . I love you.
Because he lives… I am blessed with the gospel light:
Scriptures that touch my life. A personal connection with my Heavenly Father and the knowledge that there IS life after death.
"The temple isn't just extra credit, it's the whole reason the gospel exists." — I've been thinking a lot about the temple lately. It's one of my favorite places & it provides so much value to my life. I LOVE GOING. But lately.. I've been worried that maybe I spend too much time focused on going and being there and not enough time on other worldly aspects of my life (y'all Satan is for real.) Like somehow me going as often as I possibly can is taking away someone else's chance or creating lack in other aspects of my life.. HA. In Stake conference today, all of my questions were put to rest as I heard the quote mentioned above. Making the temple a priority in our lives will bless us EXPONENTIALLY in every other aspect. —- I am grateful for a little piece of Heaven on Earth. A place I can go to feel my Heavenly Father's presence and be nearer to him ❤️ If you want to learn more about temples.. I invite you to check out LDS.ORG. it's a great resource if you're curious 😉 — #SundaySpiritualSnippet #sunchaser #quotes #comment #TFLers #quoteoftheday #instagood #love #photooftheday #igers #sunny #instadaily #instamood #nofilter #happyhailee #thezestyblonde #bloggers #bloggerstyle #instadaily #bloggerlife #igers #bloggerfashion #mormon #bloggerlifestyle #instagood #bloggersofinstagram #vsco #bloggerdiaries #social #socialmediatips #ldsblogger #ldstemple #travelblogger
Because he lives… I can become clean:
I can repent. I can be uplifted. I can let go & forgive. I always have a second chance.
One of my favorite blessings.
Feeling so loved. So uplifted. And so grounded. All at the same time. — I'm SO grateful that we can take a break from life every once and awhile & that I get to snuggle up & be with all of my family❤️ — Georgia is STUNNING. It's so green and alive. I can feel all the negative ions 😍 The trees are so high and my heart is so full. Our trip here was CRAZY long but so worth it. — Stoked to be living the #homestead life for the next little bit ✌️ — #happyhailee #instadaily #farm #explore #outside #forest #igers #vsco #fashion #blondehair #bloggerstyle #darling #love #social #travel
Because he lives… I have hope:
Hope for a better tomorrow, a brighter future and a more awesome me.
#ldsconf I'm SO Grateful for conference and the things I've been taught through the spirit this time around. How Grateful I am for prophets and apostles that are alive today. It's so important for us to have a personal relationship with our heavenly father and to hear from his servants ❤️❤️❤️ #hisday
Because he lives… I can live again:
I am so blessed to know that because of HIM, I can live again. Because of HIM, heaven is a possibility for someone imperfect like me.
Because of HIM, I can keep trying.
I hope that we ALL remember, throughout this year, that the sacrifice was made not just to save us from our imperfections.. but to inspire & enable us to rise above them.
I hope we all remember, throughout this year, that the His sacrifice was made not just to save us from our imperfections… But to inspire & enable us to rise above them. #Easter #BecauseofHim —- #SundaySpiritualSnippet #sunchaser #quotes #comment #TFLers #quoteoftheday #instagood #love #photooftheday #igers #sunny #instadaily #happyhailee #thezestyblonde #bloggers #bloggerstyle #instadaily #bloggerlife #igers #bloggerfashion #mormon #bloggerlifestyle #instagood #bloggersofinstagram #vsco #bloggerdiaries #social #socialmediatips #ldsblogger #ldstemple #travelblogger
I am so grateful.
What are YOU grateful for this Easter season?
Here’s a link to my favorite Easter video:
Here’s a link to one of my favorite Easter traditions by Wander & Scout. I love this idea and hope you’ll try it with your family next year!
Tonight we spread out a sheet on the living room floor and ate our “Last Supper” on wooden plates that my dad brought home from his mission to the Philippines 50+ years ago. Dan read from the Bible and the kids asked questions about the Passover, the Garden of Gethsemane, and the empty tomb. . Sometimes traditions fall flat and feel like too much work…and sometimes everything comes together to create pure magic. Tonight was the latter. ✨
Feel free to share your favorite Easter traditions or your testimony in the comments ❤
Let’s talk about ‘Whole Foods’.
If you’re a little crunchy like I am you’ll get why whole food is a big deal. Now, I am not talking about the Grocery store chain. I’m talking about real actual food!
Today I’m going to share with you one of my favorite blog posts from another blog I have that is ALL about being healthy:
Here it is:
HELLO HELLO! Today we are going to be chatting about ‘WHOLE FOODS’ … so if you’re not into learning about food or you don’t like to eat food or you’re not into eating good foods… stop reading NOW.
If you ARE looking for a some resources about things to put in your body to make it happier AND healthier, you are in the right place.
What are ‘Whole Foods’?
Definition: “plant food that has been processed or refined as little as possible and is free from additives or other artificial substances.” (Thank you google.) For example.. Fruits, Veggies… good grains.
That sounds easy enough, right? Well.. it’s not. Take a good look at what things you may have in your fridge or in your pantry or cabinets. I am willing to bet most of the food that you have stored away in there doesn’t quite meet the requirements for ‘Whole food’. In today’s world it’s much harder to find unprocessed, unrefined, un-tampered with food. Even a lot of the produce we consume has additives or artificial substances added to it.
Note: Check out the labels on your food! If you can’t read it or pronounce it, it most likely isn’t whole food and it probably isn’t too awesome for you.
Why do we need ‘Whole Foods’?
Now, I don’t mean to scare you, everything will be OKAY. Not having a strict diet of only ‘Whole food’ will not kill you and hasn’t been proven as a cause of cancer or any of that kind of junk (Maybe)… our bodies just don’t function as well without them. ‘Whole Foods’ are an essential part to having a healthy balanced body and life!
Our bodies were MADE to process and use Whole, Fresh, food! Imagine a life where all you ate was ‘Whole foods’, I’m sure you’re picturing more energy, a more balanced state of mind. Perhaps, clearer skin and memory, greater health and vibrancy. You are SO right. Our bodies function on a whole different level when we give them the nutrients they need without all the fillers or frills. Eating more whole foods is essential to health and a HUGE step in the right direction if you are ready for an improved healthy lifestyle.
Note: TRY IT! If you haven’t heard of the ‘whole 30 diet’, I recommend checking it out and giving it a go for 30 days! I’d love to start another challenge group and do it with you.
How can we incorporate more ‘Whole Foods’ into our lives?
That being said, how in the world are we supposed to incorporate more Whole Foods into our diets? Easy Peasy. Buy them. I know what you’re thinking… ‘how am I supposed to eat that stuff?’ RECIPES! If you are on Pinterest I am SURE you will find what you need to make these whole foods sound appetizing. Create meal plans, get your family in on it, make it a goal! You will thank yourself later for being so proactive with your health.
Besides, we are happy to help! Join one of our 21 day challenges and get some awesome recipes, meal plans and tips to help. (Email:email@example.com)
The truth of the matter is that our bodies crave these foods and what we can find at the grocery store wont entirely sate that craving or fulfill all of the nutrients our bodies need. That is the BIGGEST reason I advocate for supplements.
Specifically ‘Whole Food’ supplements.
Some of my favorite ‘Whole food’ Supplements:
Greens- Jade greenzymes
The ULTIMATE super food. You can literally survive off of this stuff and water. This will help alkalinize your system, promote better functioning organs (especially digestion/acid reflex stuff) and it’s definitely the best option for families who need some help in the eating more greens department. PLUS its great at fighting off infections and I even use it as a facial mask to suck out any impurities in my skin! (Seriously, if you have sick kids all the time THIS is a MUST.)

Daily Health- Kenzen Mega Daily (Men & Women)
Most daily vitamins are hard for your body to absorb.. but, because these are ‘Whole food’ supplements your body uses them right up! I LOVE the way I feel one these. My hormones stay so balanced. There’s also a ton of rocking antioxidants AND metabolism boosters. HECK YES.

INSANE Daily Nutrients- Kenzen Vital Balance
I am totally not a protein shake type of gal but, I make an exception for something that has literally changed everything about my health. This stuff tastes good and does the best things for your body. My immunity is much higher, my skin is brighter, my hair is longer, my digestion has improved IMMENSELY (more on that later) and I have a crazy amount of energy. (Not to mention this stuff is the bomb for both building muscle AND losing extra weight you may be carrying around)

Energy- Kenzen Ten4
MY FAVORITE THING EVER. If you need more energy, a gentle detox… some brain/emotional balance, THIS should be your go to. Besides having an amazing amount of nutritional value and antioxidants, this stuff boosts your metabolism AND helps you gently detox. I LOVE IT. 10/10 would recommend to EVERYONE.

Total Detox- Activated charcoal
Lately I have been totally loving on this stuff.. even though its not technically a ‘Whole food’ it will totally help scrub out all the gunk in your system to help you absorb your Whole foods better! Just make sure you continue to drink copious amounts of water to help it filter through!
Find this on Amazon or at any health food store. Or click here for the one I use.
Note: Find what works for your body! Do research, ask questions, be proactive.

This for sure isn’t everything… There is so much more for us to learn about how are bodies are affected by food. I can’t wait to write more about it!
Stay tuned for a fit & foodie post in the next month or so!
What are your favorite Whole Food recipes?
Have you done Whole30? What was your experience?
As 2018 kicks into full gear, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to accomplish this year and how I’m going to really achieve my goals!
But, here’s the deal.. I want to help YOU too! Let’s be accountable together 🙂 SO lets talk about all the awesome ways you’re gonna kick 2018’s bootayy!
Here are FIVE things I’m implementing to kick my goals in the butt in 2018:
Learn from 2017
Spend a moment to just think about the Good, Bad and The Ugly from the past year.
I’ve spent like 6 weeks just reminiscing about 2017. Thinking about all the amazing blessings that I was a part of and trying to figure out what went wrong with some of the goals I set for myself.
I’m a huge believer in evaluation and not self sabotage. It’s okay to look back at things in your life and evaluate what could be better. However, it is NOT okay to think you’re a terrible person because things didn’t work out
Experience makes for a good road map.
The biggest thing for me last year was, my work ethic. I would set huge goals and just wait for them to happen. That’s no way to accomplish anything is it?
Use your past experiences to help you get realistic and clear on the things you’re working towards. You really CAN accomplish anything you set your mind to but, are you willing to put in the time and effort?
Set Solid Goals
Put things into sections
After you’ve done some self evaluation, you may realize that you have TONS of goals you want to make for 2018. ME TOO! My favorite way to keep them all organized is by putting them into sections and only making two BIG goals for each section. The sections I use are: Mind, Body, Family, Society, Finances, Spirit.
It looks a little something like this:
I also LOVE this goal map:
Once you’ve decided on the basics of your goals, it’s time to get S.M.A.R.T. If you haven’t heard of this method of goal setting, it rocks!
It stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant & Timely.
If you can’t break a goal down into these categories, it’s not a very attainable goal.
Here’s an awesome article that goes into it a little more:
Set small ‘progress’ goals
You gotta keep yourself motivated. It is SO important to keep yourself on target if you really want to achieve your goals.
A good way to help you do this is by setting small goals. Quarterly, Monthly, weekly or even daily!
I love LOVE love checklists. Also making some type of progress visual will TOTALLY help you stay motivated.
Setting bite-sized goals & ways to progress will make your goals seem more attainable.
Check put this article on the brain science behind it:
Crap is going to hit the fan. It’s part of living in this world. Although, when it does happen, it is so important for your optimism shine through.
These goals you’ve made are just waiting for you on the other side of the hurdles that life has put in your path! Seriously, Heavenly Father or the Universe or whatever you want to call it.. wants you to succeed!
This article inspired me to move mountains:
(Save this corgi for the ruff days 😉
Write them down daily
You should be really clear on your goals at this point, right? Well now it’s time to put it to the test.
Are you obsessed with them? I’m not talking about jut wanting them… Or wishing really hard… Are you OBSESSED?
- Is everything you’re doing helping your work towards your goals?
- Are your thoughts consumed with the thought of achieving it?
- Have you cut out all the unnecessary stuff?
- Have you posted reminders all around your house?
- Are you writing them down EVERY day?
Writing all of your goals down every day may seem a little insane but… I KNOW that it will help you get SO much closer to your goals!
It keeps them present and weighing on your brain.. Your brain will do anything to help you get there!
So get yourself a notebook or journal and write down 15-20 of your goals EVERY day.
Watch the magic happen.
If you really want to know why, check this out:
Don’t Forget to Celebrate
A KEY part to setting goals is the “after party”. How are you going to celebrate when you’ve reached your goals?
You’d think just achieving the goal would be enough, right? Wrong. Depending on the goal, having some reward AFTER achievement will help you look forward to it and work even harder!
Believe in yourself
The biggest thing I learned from 2017 is that I need to have more belief in myself. If I want to achieve anything, I need to believe in myself.
I can’t let past mistakes define me & I need to have faith that I can do hard things!
If you feel like you’re not quite there yet, get yourself an ‘accountability’ partner who believes you are! It always helps to have an incredible tribe along the way.
You’re going to rock 2018! I just know it.
Hustle Hard, Love Harder.
Did this post help you get more clear on you goals for 2018?
Do you feel ready to take on the world?!
Tell me your 2018 goals in the comments!
I can’t wait to hear them ❤
If you’re anything like me, you LOVE motivational quotes. So for today’s post, I put together some of my absolute favorites to help you stay motivated in 2018.
Hopefully you can use them throughout your year. Or post them all over your house like I am going to!
1. Get yourself started.
It’s a new year. You GOT THIS. Getting started is the hardest AND most important step to achieving anything.
2.Believe in your Awesome.
Just let yourself be amazing. Imagine what would happen if you just BELIEVED in how incredible you are.
3. Focus on the Important things.
Keep perspective. If it’s not going to matter in a few months, it’s not worth your time!
Where is your focus?
4. Keep the end in mind.
Become so obsessed with the things you want to accomplish that nothing can stand in the way of it.
5. Stop living in fear.
Experience more faith in your life.
6. Remember who you are.
You have SO much worth! Keep that in mind even when you’re facing great challenges.
7. Choose better. Always.
Every decision you make has an impact on your destiny. Start living like it!
8. Love More. Live Positive.
Live each day with a little more love and a lot more positive thinking.
9. BECOME the person you’re meant to be.
Finish strong and as the best person 2018 can create! I believe in you 🙂
